We’ve had a great year here at Steamer’s Carpet Care. We cleaned thousands of carpets, scrubbed hundreds of tiles and dried out dozens of flooded homes. Our continued commitment to customer satisfaction earned us an Angie’s List Super Service Award for the sixth year in a row. And in an effort to give back to the community, we sponsored a successful online fundraising campaign for the San Antonio Food Bank.

5. The Yachiyo Rug: Indestructible, Vacuum-free and One-of-a-Kind

The Yachiyo Rug is made entirely out of metal rings and was designed by London artist Philippe Malouin. It took over 3,000 hours to put together and is named after the Japanese intern “Yachiyo” who spent months working on it.

David Hanauer, a young German artist, has created a series of rugs printed with aerial images from Google Earth. Though the idea is strikingly 21st century, Hanauer says he was initially inspired by geometric Persian rug designs.

1. Help Us Fight Hunger in San Antonio

This year we partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank during their San Antonio Goes Orange campaign in September. Through our online efforts we were able to raise $200 for the Food Bank and our donation purchased roughly 2,000 lbs of food for hungry individuals and families in the San Antonio area.
