San Antonio carpet cleaners, Steamer’s Carpet Care, has partnered with Operation Homefront to make available a number of free carpet cleanings to the families of soldiers in the San Antonio and New Braunfels areas.

The service is being offered to all military families, but priority is given to the families of soldiers returning home.

The partnership stemmed from when Steamer’s Carpet Care noticed that the company was cleaning homes of young families preparing for the return of a family member from either Afghanistan or Iraq. Steamer’s Carpet Care got the idea to help families welcome their loved ones home from seeing the joy the family was feeling as they prepared for their soldier’s arrival.

“It’s important to us to serve the area where we work and live,” Steamer’s Carpet Care owner Jon Bibb said. “With San Antonio being such a big military community, this giving opportunity seemed pretty natural, and we’re thrilled to be a part of welcoming soldiers home.”

This isn’t Steamer’s Carpet Care’s only instance of community giving: The company also hosts a food drive each fall to benefit the San Antonio Food Bank.
