Clean Carpet For Soldiers
Steamer’s Carpet Care supports Operation Homefront by making available a certain amount of free carpet cleanings per year for qualified military families, mostly but not completely limited to, families of soldiers returning home. A while back, we noticed that we were cleaning homes of young families preparing for the return of a family member from either Afghanistan or Iraq. The joy the family was feeling gave us the idea of how we could help them welcome their loved one back home.
We are very proud to be associated with Operation Homefront of Texas – our sincerest thank you to the men and women that protect our country. If you feel that your family may qualify for this benefit, click on the link below for more information.

Steamer’s Carpet Care Annual Fall Food Drive
We’re from here . . . San Antonio and its surrounding communities are home. Since Steamer’s Carpet Care and its employees all call this area home, we put our heads together one morning to figure out how we could help others around us. It was in the fall of 2008, and the news on the economy was making people seriously worry about their future.
With an ingenious idea, one of our lead technicians suggested that since we are already dealing with homeowners . . . why don’t we ask them if they would like to participate in a food drive? Everybody agreed that the idea was great, and the vans started bringing back food by the end of the day! In our first year, we collected over 1,300 pounds of food for the San Antonio Food Bank!
Due to its success, Steamer’s Carpet Care has decided to have an annual food drive each fall whereas customers can donate canned or other food items, which will be delivered to the San Antonio Food Bank. A huge thanks to Steamer’s Carpet Care employees and customers for a job well done!
This year, we added something special to our partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank. We donated $1 for every like our Facebook page received during the month of September. With each dollar we donated, the food bank was able to purchase 10 pounds of food, which becomes seven meals. As a result of our donation this year, the San Antonio Food Bank was able to purchase 1,990 pounds of food for hungry people in the San Antonio area.
